It is so fun to go on trips but it is definitely wonderful to come back home! I have always enjoyed traveling although it has gotten a little more challenging with children. There is so much you have to pack for kids, you end up going to bed earlier, and you really don't see much "night life". This is OK with me because some day my kids will be grown, and not in the house, and not wanting to sleep in my bed. I won't have to change 8 diapers a day. I wont have to give kids a bath every night. I won't have to fill up the sippy cups 4 times a day. I won't have to step on toys on my way to bed. I won't hear the kids screaming and fighting over whose toy it is. There is much more, but then there will be the sarcasm from my teenagers. The constant fight of what my daughter is trying to get away with wearing to go out with her friends. I'll be dealing with the cell phone that has gone way over the minutes from my kids talking to their friends too much. I realize how much I need to enjoy what I have, and when I have it. I know I will also miss it when I get old.
