It is officially Pumpkin Season!

My favorite place is Tanaka Farms in Irvine, CA. You can park and Pick your own pumpkins for free! ( you do have to pay for the pumpkin). They also have "pick your own veggies" during this time of the year. Their onions are fantastic!

We are also planning a trip to Oak Glen for "Apple Picking" season. I always have a childhood memory of picking apples. It was so fun! I want to carry on that tradition with my kids. Riley's farm also has "home school days". If you are interested, go to their website : http://www.rileysfarm.com/.

Forest Kindergarten: Children ages 3-6 are invited to play and learn in the wilderness parks, beaches and organic farms of Orange County with seasoned instructions on Mondays, beginning September 19 from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at O'Neill Regional Park, 30892 Trabuco Canyon Rd., Trabuco Canyon. 16 weeks. (double check on this before going). This is something I have not done before, but I am interested in trying it out.
